Job Title: Cranial & Spine Neurosurgery Physician Assistant
NORTON NEUROSCIENCE INSTITUTE is seeking a physician assistant with neurosurgery practice experience or a strong interest in neurosurgery.
The neurosurgery team includes 10 neurosurgeons, 13 adult neurosurgery advanced practice providers and five pediatric neurosurgery advanced practice providers.
The selected candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to build a neurosurgical practice that suits their experience and passion.
The neurosurgery team has subspecialized focuses including complex spine, neurosurgical oncology, cranial neurosurgery, endovascular/cerebrovascular neurosurgery and functional neurosurgery. Norton Neuroscience Institute is a multidisciplinary comprehensive program with more than 110 subspecialty fellowship-trained neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuropsychologists and advanced practice providers.
As a regional leader for neurosurgical care, Norton Neuroscience Institute provides care for more than 100,000 patients each year, including more than 15,000 unique neurosurgical patients at three primary practice locations and an additional eight satellite locations. The candidate will have the opportunity to use advanced technologies such as Medtronic’s O-arm O2 Imaging System and StealthStation S8 Surgical Navigation System, Brainlab software and devices, Airo Mobile Intraoperative CT and the Mazor X Robotic Guidance System. Additionally, Norton Neuroscience Institute leads a system of stroke care, including the DNV Healthcare Inc. certified Norton Brownsboro Hospital Comprehensive Stroke Center and the Norton Children’s Hospital Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, named a Level 4 center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- Subspecialty opportunities with major focus in spine or cranial neurosurgery
- Call duty, typically one evening per week and one weekend out of eight, from home (subject to change to align with staffing needs)
- Access to 10 neurosurgeons through Norton Neuroscience Institute, including specialists in endovascular/cerebrovascular, spine and functional neurosurgery

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certification as either an P.A., or PA-C
