Description
Mayo Clinic in Arizona’s Department of Surgery provides quality care for complex, serious, and rare conditions. Our NP and PA staff work collaboratively with our surgeons in a team-based model. The Inpatient NA/PA staff will provide postoperative care for these complex surgical patients primarily in the inpatient setting, see new consults during the day, and may, on occasion, step in as first assist in the OR.
- Spends ~80% of time supporting the inpatient postoperative service by serving as first point of contact for nursing staff.
- Sees new patient consults from other services or the emergency room.
- May spend some time in the operating room as First Assist in surgery, as needed.
- Robotic training preferred but not required.
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
