Description
A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt University Partnerships Coordinator on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The University Partnership Coordinator will assist the Chief Partnership Officer in identifying and securing clinical training sites for ATSU medical, dental, and physician assistant students. This position will provide leadership for the Hometown Scholars (HTS) strategy, coordinate national recruitment and residency fairs, and build strong partnerships with Community Health Centers (CHCs) and universities nationwide. The role also includes working closely with ATSU colleges and offices to remove barriers for students, enhance the HTS pipeline, and ensure endorsed students are supported from recruitment through graduation and back into CHCs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clinical Site and Partnership Development - Identify, secure, and expand clinical training opportunities for ATSU medical, dental, and PA students by partnering with CHCs and national universities. Build relationships with CHC leadership to connect endorsed students to training sites and support workforce development.
- Hometown Scholars Program Oversight - Lead the HTS strategy by engaging CHCs to identify, endorse, and mentor eligible students; collaborate with ATSU Admissions to reduce barriers; support student progress from application to matriculation; and ensure graduates are matched back to their endorsing CHCs.
- Recruitment and Residency Fair Coordination - Plan and execute virtual and in-person recruitment and residency fairs to connect ATSU students with CHCs. Develop content, oversee logistics, and ensure events highlight ATSU's clinical programs while addressing national CHC workforce needs.
- Advisory Committee and Stakeholder Engagement - Convene program advisory committees twice yearly (virtual or in- person) to gather feedback, reimagine HTS strategies, and explore new opportunities. Collaborate with ATSU colleges and offices—including Admissions, Student Affairs, Diversity, and Marketing—to align strategies and resources.
- Program Monitoring and Evaluation - Develop and maintain systems to track student engagement, program outcomes, and CHC partnerships. Use data to monitor progress, inform strategy, and report outcomes to the Chief Partnership Officer and university leadership.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Education, or Business.
- Preferred: A Master's in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Education).
- Six to nine years of experience in program management, partnership development, or workforce development.
- Knowledge of higher education systems and processes, particularly related to admissions, student affairs, and academic programs.
- Knowledge of the healthcare workforce landscape, including the role of Community Health Centers (CHCs) and challenges in recruiting and retaining healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of program management principles, including evaluation, data tracking, and reporting.
- Knowledge of partnership development and relationship management best practices.
- Knowledge of event planning and logistics for both virtual and in-person events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with standard office software.
