Following is a summary of what you can expect in this role:
- Provide anesthesia services for main OR patients requiring surgery and other procedures, ensuring they receive excellent care when they are at their most vulnerable.
- Main OR coverage
- Department manages approximately 10,000 cases per year
- Anesthetic management of patients undergoing surgical procedures and/or providing labor pain management
- Airway management
- Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Answer questions about procedures and recovery, perform patient assessments, ensure the equipment is ready, prepare anesthetic for patients, monitor patient's vitals during surgery and oversee patient recovery
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Additional duties as assigned by clinical or operational leadership
